E hoje, a gente pode trazer aqui, no Deck4 Day, várias partes dessa engrenagem”, conta ele.

Instituto Neymar Jr. joins the 1st edition of Deck4 Day

This Saturday (6th) took place at Teatro Guarany, the first edition of Deck4 Day, a free event promoted by Deck4, the largest distance education platform for training ship crews and a partner of Instituto Neymar Jr. Throughout the afternoon, important players in the shipping industry shared their experiences with the audience of future crew members who will embark on the next cruise season in 2022/2023, including the more than 80 INJR students who are part of the 2nd class of the Jovens Tripulantes project.

The Instituto was also represented on stage: the CFO Altamiro Bezerra and the students of the first class of the project Isabela Santos Jesus Silva and Adriel Luiz Santos da Silva shared their professional experiences. The event was led by the founders of Deck4 Fabrício Brito, Felipe Pinheiro and André Vieira, who shared the history of the startup with the public.

According to founder Fabrício Brito, the purpose of the event was to explain to future crew members how the cruise industry works, so that they feel even more prepared on their first boarding. “Deck4 Day is the event that brings together great professionals from the cruise industry, so that students, guests and participants can have contact with these professionals and have this exchange of experience that is fundamental in the professional qualification process. Often, a crew member, or a future crew member, does not have the dimension of the whole gear that is the cruise industry. And today, we can bring here, on Deck4 Day, several parts of this gear”, he says.

The Financial Director of Instituto Neymar Jr., Altamiro Bezerra, left the message for young people that it is necessary to commit and enchant people so that the work is done with excellence and that new doors open in the future. “The most important thing is the commitment they have to have with these partners that are offering them this great opportunity. The responsibility they have to contribute to the company’s level of excellence. After all, they need to do their best. Whether in the lowest role he will play or climbing the highest step. They need to understand that the excellence of the work they offer, the enchantment with the passengers will make them renew countless contracts. So the message is one of commitment, respect, discipline and responsibility, which are the values of Instituto Neymar Jr.”.

For Altamiro, the success of Youth Crew is another indication that the INJR is following the right path in transforming the lives of the population of Praia Grande. “These young people are a very important part of the project construction process, after all they started at the Instituto very young, and today, with adulthood, they are able to enter the job market, in an international opportunity, with a work contract which, in addition to helping with their first job, will make an important contribution to transforming their lives”, shares the Director. Altamiro also thanks the partners Deck4, Agência ISMBR, Litoral Plaza Shopping, Costa Crociere and Shelter for making the project possible. “It’s a great process, a process of people who are really concerned about the future and about transforming the lives of these young people. So, for me, it was gratifying to spend this wonderful afternoon with all the young people who have this ambition, who have this desire, and with these partners, who want to contribute to the transformation of their lives”, he adds.

Isabela Santos Jesus Silva, 21, boarded the first group of Jovens Tripulantes members. She was on Deck4 Day to share her experiences with colleagues who are about to follow in her footsteps. “And I think it’s very important that we pass on our experience to those who are starting because it’s an incentive and I needed it when I was in their shoes, so I understand this importance and I’m very happy to help”, says Isabela. For her, there is a feeling of gratitude to the INJR and the partners who made the boarding possible. “Participating in the Jovens Tripulantes project with the Instituto Neymar was very challenging, it was fun, it was very important for me. I had a giant learning experience. I was able to learn from experienced people, from amazing people. Deck4 brought us an unparalleled teaching, which certainly changed the experience on board. I feel very grateful for this opportunity that the Instituto has given me to be able to embark. It was something that changed my life, changed my perspective on life, changed my worldview, my reality.”

Alongside Isabela, Adriel Luiz Santos da Silva, 21, was also part of the first group of the project. “I feel very honored to be invited to participate in this lecture, because I can share my experience with my colleagues, so that they can be sure that I am living proof that the project works and that we can go to work and have success”, says Adriel. He leaves his friends the advice that persistence is the most important to achieve your goals: “Have 100% faith and never give up. Persist until the end!”.

INJR student Stefany Rodrigues Santana, 17, is going through the stages of preparation for the Jovens Tripulantes members and says that the lecture was important to acquire new knowledge and get to know the experiences of those who have already been on board. “We worked hard to get here, but I think everyone will be able to pass the interviews and reach the first shipment. I feel very happy because I never thought I would travel the world, visit different countries and work on a cruise ship. I never thought that I could give the best for my family. I’ve always enjoyed being there, it’s my second home there. Deck4 also helped a lot in this process, on the way to the first shipment”, says Stefany.

The students of the 2nd class have just passed the first official job held by the ISMBR Agency, which will select the young people who will be hired by the Italian ship owner Costa Crociere. Read the full article here.
